Yes. Tala Pepper served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps and is a combat veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom II. During his deployment, he served on a convoy security team that completed 120+ combat missions and drove more than 10,000 miles across Iraq. After war, music became one of the ways Tala carried what he had lived through and turned survival into self-expression.
